Draw Autumn REPLAY

Draw-along Friday 25th October 6pm BST

Dear readers,

Are you looking to participate in an Autumnal themed sketching session? If yes then please join me this Friday 6-7.30pm BST for a live drawing date on zoom. EDIT: Replay is at the bottom of the page.

Our theme is Autumn Leaves, Berries and Seeds.

Think oak, sycamore, beech, maple, acer, pine along with autumnal red berries and small treasures foraged in the woods.

The aim will be to capture the colours and shapes of Autumn on paper.

How do I join?

Here are the details if you’d like to join in the drawing date:

• Upgrade to paid on my substack for the month (you’ll also get access to all my paid posts for the month)

• Tune in on Friday 6pm BST on Zoom via the link below

• The link is below and you’ll be able to access it once paid

• Bring along a sketchbook or two and/or lots of loose paper

• Bring a range of mediums you feel comfortable using or go wild and try some materials you haven’t before!

What can I expect?

I’ll be sharing a range of photos from a recent walk looking for autumnal finds and encourage you to use this session as a warm-up/play session.

I will be guiding you through a number of drawing exercises that will be timed and chatting as we go so it should be a fun, energetic and informal time to sketch together. The pace will be varied, containing both fast and slow drawing exercises.

The session will last around 90 minutes and there will be opportunity to share your pages at the end if you want to.

Make sure you have a zoom account (you can join for free) and it has been downloaded on your devices and then you can join us live on Friday.

If you can’t join live you will still be able to access the recording later once it has been uploaded. You will find it on this post at the bottom along with reference photos after the event has happened.
