Our subject will be birds-great and small.
This time of year the hedgerows are choc full of the bird song choruses so I thought this would be a great time to have a go at sketching a variety of them great and small.
What will we draw?
A variety of birds.
I’ll be sharing a range of photos of birds from large birds of prey like buzzards and kestrels to small house sparrows and wagtails.
We’ll be following our usual format of fast drawing exercises followed by a slower paced drawing time. I’m sure by the time we finish you’ll have lots of bird drawing inspiration
It will also be an opportunity to take some time out to draw together and chat, sharing materials we’re enjoying using and observe these talkative creatures.

Bring along a range of drawing and painting mediums you like to use
Bring a sketchbook or two or a stack of paper
The session will last around 90 minutes and there will be opportunity to share your pages at the end if you want to.
Make sure you have a zoom account (you can join for free) and it has been downloaded on your devices and then you can join us live on Thursday.
If you can’t join live you will still be able to access the recording later once it has been uploaded. You will find it on this post at the bottom along with reference photos within 24hrs after the event has happened.
