Join me this Thursday for our January draw-along

The theme will be A Winter Garden. An opportunity to gather and sketch together, I’ll be sharing photos inspired by the season here in the UK. The subjects will be flowers, wildlife, trees and birds. The things that we see at this time of year in the garden.

It will also be an opportunity to take some time out to draw together and chat, sharing materials we’re enjoying using/ things we’re noticing in nature and appreciating the season.

Here are the details if you’d like to join in the drawing date:

• Bring along a range of drawing and painting mediums you like to use

• Bring a sketchbook or two or a stack of paper

I will be sharing a range of photos that I have either taken or found which we will use to draw our inspiration from. I’ll lead you in some warm up drawing exercises before taking a longer period to draw more detailed images with a mix of mediums to create a double page of winter garden subjects.

The session will last around 90 minutes and there will be opportunity to share your pages at the end if you want to.

Make sure you have a zoom account (you can join for free) and it has been downloaded on your devices and then you can join us live on Thursday.

If you can’t join live you will still be able to access the recording later once it has been uploaded. You will find it on this post at the bottom along with reference photos after the event has happened.
