Swatch and Sketch Session-REPLAY

Join us for our casual Swatch and Sketch session happening this Thursday 7th November 6-7pm GMT -an hour of swatching and playing in our sketchbooks.
Use the time to try out some new materials, catch up on an art challenge or just hang out with others and sketch.
I’m planning to try some Derwent pencils. Thanks to those of you who made suggestions in the chat- I’ve managed to get a few different ranges to swatch by building my own tin. It’s a handy option they have on their site as it means you can pick and choose a range of pencils without having to buy the whole range plus there are discounts added the more you choose.

I also would like to have a go at combining them together and see how they layer with what I have. I might use some prompts to help give me some ideas for sketches. I know Folktale week is coming up so I may look at those prompts to guide me and some recent photos I took on a walk.

Below is Wendi’s swatching of Tooli-art acrylic markers. Wendi couldn’t join live but caught the replay and posted her sketch in the chat. I really like the colour palette- much more earthier than the sharpie acrylic markers.
