Hello!

Welcome to my 23rd post in our PROCESS & PLAY series.

Each session I take a closer look at a sketchbook PROCESS, chat through what I’m doing and then invite you to join me to PLAY in your sketchbook.

It’s May time and all the wildflowers are coming out in abundance here in Cornwall which can be very distracting, but in a good way! It’s hard not to want to sketch them and capture them on paper. However sometimes it can be tricky to know where to start particularly if there are a lot of them and you don’t want to draw every single one.

Mustard

In this month’s Process and Play I look at ways in which to do this, sharing a simple technique with Neocolor IIs. We’ll also work with pencils and markers to achieve a layered sketch.

You’ll get to peek at some of my wildflower sketches I’ve done on location this and last year to give some ideas as to how you could approach sketching them too.

Red Campion

I share with you all the materials I use in the post below, along with PDF of the image and video process.

If you’d like to find out more upgrade to paid or if you’re already part of the community scroll on down to watch the pre-recorded video and access all the links and photos.

Thanks for reading and hope you can join one of our sessions!
