Wow! I love this postcard project Mel. There is something about repetition (from the other side, seeing your work) that makes each postcard more magical just from having neighbors!

Postcard neighbors, that is.

Thanks for your encouragement Margaux. Yes daily repetition built up over time you don't realise how much happens or how you improve in your observation. Definitely was a year of growth for me. Now to just persevere with getting it done, a different kind of repetition to daily sketching- as I'm currently writing all the titles by hand!

Looking forward to the post card book Mel. I have the little book of printed postcards you were selling a few years ago. Funnily enough I was looking through it again a few days ago. Very much enjoying being a Stackie !

😍 I love the process of creating a book. So thank you for sharing yours. It's inspiring and makes me curious to see more of it. There's no question that your sketches are beautiful. But now they get new life on the pages of a book and in the context of your photos and texts. I particularly like the part ‘Can I let you in on a secret?’ because it gives an insight into your learning process. Keep going. What you create is precious.

Hi Mel! I am very happy that you have done this big project with your book. You also write about your initial joy, and then the doubts that followed, which I think is very good. We all grow with the challenges and tasks we set ourself. It's a lot of work and it's great that you have someone by your side to support you. I'm already looking forward to receiving a copy:) Too bad I couldn't be there for the last Zoom meeting. I will now watch the recording. I wish you strength and perseverance. Thank you very much for your valuable work.
