Very interesting look at your illustration work. Just a naive question though: why does all the work, even for different companies and events, seem to adhere to the same colour palette of greens, orange, and browns mostly? Is this a personal style choice, or is it a printing/business choice that is out of your control? Is it so it is recognizably "Melanie Chadwick"?

Thanks Leahbeth. Good question the colour palettes can be influenced by a number of things but in 2 of these jobs they were advised by the client in that one of them I had to use the exact colours to match their branding (GodVenture) and the other I used a limited colour palette across the illustrations so that they sit well together (Ferment). The colour palettes are also tighter and restricted in my client work and that is because it's either to tie in with the client's branding colours or makes the work more cohesive.

Thanks for the explanation, Melanie. I've always wondered how an illustrator might choose these limited palettes, but having guidelines from the client would definitely make it easier.
